Delivery Information

We know you're excited to receive your order, so we aim to get your items to you as quickly as possible!

Here's what you can expect:

Shipping Times:

  • In-stock items: We typically ship these within 1-3 business days* (Monday-Friday), and often the same day if possible.
  • North Island: Most orders arrive overnight.
  • South Island: Most orders arrive within 2 business days.
  • Rural deliveries: May take a little longer due to postal schedules.
  • Larger items: May also have slightly longer delivery times.  If you’re not sure, please give us a call on: 07 5788623

 Important Notes:

  • Exclusions: "Pre-Order Only", and "Back Order Only" items have different shipping times. Please check the product page for details.
  • Peak times: During busy periods, deliveries may take a little longer. Please allow up to 10 business days for delivery in these instances.
  • Weekends and holidays: We don't ship on weekends or public holidays.

*While our goal is to maintain a well-stocked inventory, please note that due to the demands of our retail store, discrepancies and delays may occur. In the event that an item is unavailable, we will promptly arrange for restocking, typically within 1-5 business days.

Shipping Rates

Spend over $75 and get free shipping nationwide.*

Shipping fees apply to all orders under $74.99:
$5.95 for Residential
$10.95 for Rural

$25.00 for Live Fish - North Island Non-Rural only. *Please read more below

Free shipping excludes:

Excludes all Islands except for Waiheke, North & South Island of New Zealand and any other countries outside of New Zealand. Also excludes bulky and overweight items.

*Unfortunately we are unable to offer free delivery to the South Island for all aquariums between 25 Litres and 70 Litres - these will incur a shipping fee of $25.00.

Bulky or overweight items ordered:

If you purchase an oversized item (eg. bird cage, rabbit/guinea pig hutch, dog kennels, large fish tank (over 70L), a fish tank cabinet or large bag of gravel) we will contact you prior to us processing your order with a courier/freight cost – you can then either accept or cancel your order.

*Live Fish Delivery Policy:

  • Shipping Fee: All live fish orders incur a $25.00 shipping fee.
  • Delivery Area: We only ship live fish to non-rural North Island addresses.

Dead on Arrival (DOA) Policy

If your order arrives on the expected delivery date and any fish are DOA (Dead on Arrival), please provide clear photos or videos of the fish in the unopened bag within two hours of delivery.

Some fish species are shipped at the buyer’s own risk. Please check with our team before purchasing to confirm if this applies to your chosen fish.

If the above steps are not followed, we may be unable to provide a store credit or replacement.

Delivery Delays

While we take every possible step to ensure your order arrives safely and promptly, courier delivery times are outside our control. Delays can occasionally occur, and we cannot guarantee overnight delivery, though we will always do our best to ensure timely dispatch and handling on our end.

Purchasing other items to be sent with fish: If you have added other items to your live fish order, these will be charged shipping rates on top of the $25.00 for additional dry stock items under $75.00 - you will not be charged the extra shipping if it is under $75.

Order not arrived:

If you have placed an order and have been notified that it has been dispatched, please get in touch with us within 3 days if it has not arrived to your address. This allows us time to get in touch with the courier company to lodge a query. 

Free Gifts:

Free gifts with purchases are all while stocks last. We accept no responsibility for missing free gifts. Free gifts are limited to 1 per customer per purchase.
