Rasbora Sawbwa, or more commonly known as the Asian Rummynose are an active species. They are peaceful towards other species but may not be the best choice in general community aquariums due to their small size and aggressive interactions between rival males. They do best when kept alone or with similarly-sized, active species. Though they are a rasbora, they seem to exhibit shoaling behaviour rather than schooling behaviour. They best way to minimise the aggressive behaviour between males is to have a group of more females to males at a ration of 4:1 being ideal, however this can be hard to do as typically exporters will favour sending the colourful males.
