Cryptocoryne Undulata is an un-demanding plant that does great in low-tech set ups. Cryptocornes are heavy root feeders so a nutrient rich substrate or root tab fertilisers will promote big healthy growth. In low levels of light and nutrients, this plant will produce a relatively tall, greenish-brown plant of slow growth. With higher levels of light and nutrition, combined with added CO2, will make the plant grow considerably faster, producing shorter leaves of a reddish-brown colour.
All Cryptocornes are prone to 'Crypt melt' this is typical when first planting in a new aquarium or if water parameters change drastically, to help promote new growth use nutrient rich substrate or root tab fertilisers.
