Bristlenoses are a popular catfish, named after the bush-like bristle growths on the head of the mature males. Bristlenoses prefer a strong current and plenty of oxygenation, plenty of hiding spots should be available to them as well to reduce stress. It is important to always have wood in the aquarium as this is an important part of the bristlenoses diet.
