Pearl gourami are one of the more peaceful gouramu and make a great community fish. Males can be territorial with one another and they can be hard on females when wanting to breed so ensure there are adequate hiding spcaes within the aquarium. Pearl gourami can get shy and withdrawn if kept with aggressive or vigorous fish.
