The Cuvier Bichir, also known as the Senegal Bichir is a relatively peaceful fish, however, due to its carnivorous diet, they can't be trusted with any fish that is small enough to fit in its mouth. They are a nocturnal species with poor vision, they rely on their excellent sense of smell to find their food. It is best to keep them on a soft sandy substrate.
