The Rose Sword is a hybrid between the Echinodorus Horemanii 'Red' and the Echinodorus Horizantalis. It was first produced in 1986 and has become a popular aquarium plant. The new leaves have a wonderful pink colour to them which slowly fades as the leaf matures. It is an undemanding plant, typically growing well in most aquariums.
