Tissue Cultures are carefully propagated in a laboratory to ensure plant health. Tissue Cultures are grown in a closed container which means you can enjoy a pest free and disease free plant. The plant will grow in the container until all the nutrients within the agar / liquid is used. If you do not wish to plant right away, keep the container sealed and store in a cool place. Before planting, thoroughly wash off all agar / liquid from the  plant. Once container is opened, plant immediately. 

This beautiful variety of Cryptocoryne wendtii is only found in the river Mi Oya at Sri Lanka. It has characteristic red-brown, slightly hammered leaves from 20-35 cm, and 15-30 cm wide rosettes. In the wild, this plant is found in streams with a temperature of more than 30° C. As with most Crypts, nutrient rich substrate and / or root tab fertilisers is ideal.

All Cryptocornes are prone to 'Crypt melt' this is typical when first planting in a new aquarium or if water parameters change drastically, to help promote new growth use nutrient rich substrate or root tab fertilisers.
